My inspiration for this post today is a dear little client of mine who came to me for an Aura and Chakra cleansing and healing session. Children are always such a joy to my heart! Although, the Oxford dictionary defines “Pollyanna” as an excessively cheerful or optimistic person, I would be hesitant to dismiss a Pollyannaish attitude to be an unrealistic or undesirable quality just because of the use of the word excessive.

It all happened due to my love of revisiting childhood classics to reconnect with and revivify my inner child. I was awestruck as I watched this video! I couldn’t help but stare in wide-eyed wonder and had that familiar “rainbows bouncing in my heart” feeling when I come across such things! I feel like a child who has witnessed or discovered something for the very first time and it dissolves a little more: the veil of illusions we get so accustomed to as adults!

Selflessness and selfishness are equally destructive. They both give too much importance to self and create separation. In my healing practice and in my life in general, I have yet to come across anyone who has never been deeply hurt by someone. Apart from the deep traumas we have received there are also the negative comments, judgments and opinions of people that we face in our day to day lives.
